About

HRPS

HRPS CORP's Call to Action:

HRPS CORP, a leading advocacy organization, is issuing a fervent call to criminal gangs to immediately cease all forms of gender-based violence and assault. Such actions not only violate fundamental human rights but also perpetuate fear and suffering among communities already grappling with the crisis.

Government Responsibility:

According to international laws, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, governments bear the responsibility to protect the human rights of all individuals within their jurisdiction. In the case of Haiti, failure to fulfill this duty will result in legal actions against violators and perpetrators of hate crimes.

Sex Trafficking and Assault in Haiti

Haiti is facing a dire situation marked by widespread violations of human rights, particularly concerning sex trafficking and assault. This crisis affects individuals of all genders and sexual orientations. The rampant crimes of rape, physical and mental violence, and even loss of life is inflicting deep wounds on the fabric of Haitian society.

Our Commitment:

As concerned global citizens, we stand in solidarity with the people of Haiti and pledge our support to efforts aimed at addressing the root causes of this crisis. Collaboration between governmental authorities, civil society organizations, and international partners is essential in combating sex trafficking and assault and working towards a safer, more just society for all Haitians.

Take Action:

You can make a difference by raising awareness about the crisis of sex trafficking and assault in Haiti, supporting organizations working on the ground to provide assistance to survivors, and advocating for policy changes that prioritize the protection of human rights.

Join us in standing against gender-based violence and assault in Haiti and around the world.

Our Founder

Leon Charles

Founder

"HRPS CORP was founded by our visionary leader, Mr. Leon Charles. Born in Haiti and raised in the humble community of Bochereau, Mr. Charles experienced firsthand the challenges of growing up in poverty. Raised by a single mother after his father's departure, he faced adversity from an early age. Despite the hardships, Mr. Charles's determination and resilience shone through. His journey began at a small Presbyterian school, where he gained his first exposure to education. From there, he transitioned to the Christian Brothers of Instruction at Saint Louis of Gonzaga in Haiti, where he excelled both academically and as a leader within the community. His involvement as an altar boy, leader of the Boy Scouts, and active member of the Eucharistic movement for the youth marked the beginning of his impactful journey. In 1988, Mr. Charles joined the Navy, followed by service in the Army from 1993 onwards. His dedication to serving his country led him to significant roles, including General Director of the Haitian National Police, Minister Counselor at the Embassy of Haiti to the US, and Ambassador to the Organization of American States (OAS).

However, in 2021, Mr. Charles himself became a victim of human rights violations. It was this personal experience that ignited the creation of HRPS CORP in 2023. At HRPS CORP, we are driven by the belief that human rights are not mere ideals; they are fundamental principles that demand unwavering protection. Our mission is clear: to safeguard the dignity and rights of every individual, irrespective of race, gender, sexual orientation, or social status. Headquartered in America but with a global vision, HRPS CORP transcends being just a nonprofit organization; it stands as a beacon for peace, justice, and stability.

From championing the Universal Declaration of Human Rights to spearheading initiatives to rebuild schools and communities, to providing support for victims of trafficking and violence in Haiti and the United States, we are steadfast in our commitment to creating a world where everyone can flourish. Our human rights
non-negotiable, transforming ideals into tangible realities for all. Together, let's forge a future were
justice and compassion reign supreme. Together, we can make a difference. Together, we can change the world."
